These Masks Will Give You Goosebumps
A new collection of monstrous masks inspired by the classic kids’ horror series Goosebumps is coming out just in time for Halloween! Scholastic-—the same company that publishes Scholastic MATH—launched the Goosebumps series in 1992. A quarter of a century later, author R.L. Stine has written more than 330 scary stories.
You can get your own version of the Haunted Mask or other masks based on characters like Slappy, the living ventriloquist dummy. He was first brought to life with a magic spell in the 1993 book Night of the Living Dummy. Slappy has appeared in more Goosebumps stories than any other character– and was even in the 2015 movie.
You want to buy all three of the masks shown above. If sales tax is an additional 7%, how much would you pay in total? Record your work and answer on our Numbers in the News answer sheet.
