NEED A HAND?

A fraction is a way to describe a part of a whole, group, or set.
It’s made up of two numbers:
a numerator and a denominator separated by a horizontal line.

If the numerator or denominator shares a common factor, you can simplify the fraction by finding the greatest common factor (GCF).

Factors of 2: 1, 2

Factors of 10: 1, 2, 5, 10

The GCF is 2

Divide both the numerator and denominator by the GCF to rewrite the fraction in simplest form.
